1. Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma started his IPL career with Deccan Chargers. He was also the part of Deccan Chargers in 2009 when DC lifted the trophy under Ada Gilchrist’s captaincy. Rohit was picked by MI in 2012 and he became captain in 2014 and now he is most successful captain in IPL history with 5 IPL titles.
2. MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni was captain of Chennai Super Kings from the very first season of IPL. He is the second most successful captain in IPL with 3 titles. Not only three-time champions but also 5 times runner ups. He is fan favourite and popularly known as Thala in Chennai. He was also the captain of Rising Pune Supergiants when ban was imposed on CSK in 2016.
3. Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is the only player to play for same franchise in every season. He is currently the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was picked by RCB in 2008 and he became captain in 2013. 2016 was his best year in his career he nearly scored 1000 runs in one season with 4 centuries included in it. He took his team to the finals but was not able to win. He never won IPL trophy.
4. AB De Villiers
AB De Villiers in his early IPL career played for Delhi but was picked by RCB in 2011 where he shared an amazing relationship with Indian skipper Virat Kohli. AB De Villiers is one of RCBs most consistent and important player from very long time. He saved RCB many times. He with Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle made one of the deadliest top orders in history of IPL.
5. Shikhar Dhawan
Shikhar Dhawan who is popularly known as Gabbar is a Delhi capitals player at present. Dhawan started his IPL career with Delhi than he played for Mumbai Indians, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad and then again returned to Delhi Capitals. He played a major role in Hyderabad’s 2016 IPL victory.
