Top 5 contenders for coach of team India

Ravi Shastri will step down as team India’s coach after the ICC T20 world cup 2021. Indian team achieved a lot in Shastri’s coaching but now they need to look for somebody else, because in November shastri will no longer be the coach of Indian team.

To coach the Indian team is a thing of heavy responsibility as you will be dealing with best team in the world with some of the best cricketers. So today we will see top 5 contenders for coach of team India.

5. Trevor Bayliss

Australia’s Trevor Bayliss has an amazing career as a coach. He was coach of England in 2019 world cup when England lifted the title. Also, he was a part of Kolkata knight riders camp in their 2012 and 2014 victory. He is currently the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

4. Mahela Jayawardene

Former Sri Lankan player Mahela Jayawardene is legend of cricket. He appeared in many world cup finals and played some beautiful knocks. His coaching career with IPL franchise Mumbai Indians was amazing so far. He shares a good partnership with MI captain Rohit Captain.

3. Mike Hesson

Mike Hesson was former Kiwi player who with Brendon McCullum build the New Zealand’s modern cricket. Hesson is currently working with Royal Challengers Bangalore as director of the team and you can tell by looking at RCBs performance that he has done some good job. He also shares a good relationship with Indian captain Virat Kohli.

2. Tom Moody

Tom Moody was Australia’s all rounder and one of the best coaches at present. He was part of Australian team in two world cup wins. He was also the head coach of Sri Lanka for very long time. It was in his era when Sri Lanka played the final of 2007 world cup. Earlier too he has applied for India’s coach and there are chances that he will apply for this time too.

1. Rahul Dravid

The only Indian to make in our list is none other than Indian legend Rahul Dravid. The reason why Rahul Dravid can be first choice is his interaction with almost half of the Indian team. He was coach of India A and India Under 19 in past and won world cup too with U-19 team. Also being an Indian gives him more advantage to be the coach after Ravi Shastri.
