Top 10 highest wicket-taker in test cricket

As we know that taking more than 500 wickets in test matches is considered as a big achievement for a bowler. Muttiah Muralitharan was the first player who take 800 wickets in test cricket history. Here we are going to tell you about the top 10 players who have taken the most wickets in Test cricket.

Muttiah Muralitharan

Muttah remains the best bowler to have taken the highest wickets in Test cricket of all time. He has taken 800 wickets in 133 matches in his 1992–2010 journey.

Shane Warne

Leg spinner Australian player Shane Warne is in the list of top most wickets in test cricket. He played 145 tests matches in his cricket journey. Spin king loved bowling against England and South Africa although Warne has had good success with all the teams. Out of 708 Test matches, he has played 325 matches with England and South Africa. He has taken 708 wickets in 145 matches in his 1992-2007 journey.

Anil kumble

Indian player Anil Khumbe is one of the greatest bowler in the history of Test and ODIs cricket. The most memorable moments for Kumble include the Delhi Test against Pakistan in 1999. He has taken 619 wickets in 132 matches in his 1990-2008 journey.

James Anderson

James Anderson is included in the list of fast bowlers in the history of England. He always took command of swing bowling in his home ground. He has taken 600 wickets in 156 matches in his 2003-2020 journey.

Glenn McGrath

Glenn McGrath is one of the best Australian fast bowlers of his time. McGrath made a modest debut in a series against New Zealand with six wickets at an average of more than 40. He has taken 563 wickets in 124 matches in his  1993-2007 journey.

Courtney Walsh

West Indies player Courtney Walsh has played 132 Tests and 205 ODI matches. Courtney has taken 519 wickets in 132 matches and has bowled more than 5000 overs in his 1984-2001 journey.

Stuart Broad

He has taken 514 wickets in 143 matches in his 2007-2020 journey. Stuart Broad is the second fastest bowler after James Anderson to make his place in the England team.

Dale Steyn 

Dale Steyn has been the fastest bowler in the team having taken 6 wickets in 14 matches in 2008 for which he received the prestigious ICC Player of the Year award. Steyn He has taken 439 wickets in 93 matches in his 2004-2019 journey.

Kapil Dev

Kapil Dev who does not need introduction. His fast bowling is famous all over the world. He is the first player from India to be respected for his fast bowling. He has taken 434 wickets in 131 matches in his 1978-1994 journey.

Rangana Heath

Left arm spinner Rangana Herath is one of the best and successful players in Sri Lanka’s cricket history. He has taken 433 wickets in 93 matches in his 1999-2018 journey.
