The 16th edition of Asia Cup Cricket will be played from 2nd September to 17th September 2023. Six teams India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Nepal have qualified for the tournament. A total of 13 matches will be played in Asia Cup 2023.
Pakistan is currently slated to host the Asia Cup 2023, but reports are indicating that the tournament will be moved to a neutral venue. The Asia Cricket Council (ACC) is expected to convene shortly to determine the venue.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had proposed a hybrid model for organizing this tournament but the rest of the ACC members rejected it. Pakistan had said in its proposal that it wanted all India’s matches, including the final of the tournament, to be held in a neutral country, while it would host the rest of the tournament as it would get to host the tournament.
